SQL Assistant should be able to work with nearly any ODBC compliant data source with the proper ODBC driver. The last time I worked with DB2 it was the OS/390 version and relied on a product called DB2 Connect from IBM in order to communicate via ODBC. DB2 Connect at the time was not the most user friendly piece of software to configure with the OS/390 version of DB2.

But with this version being the Linux,Unix, Windows version of DB2 you should have not problems getting ODBC to communicate with the database server.
